Brand index
The canonical record of facts about your brand that AI engines read — confirm what EOMA found, correct what it guessed.
In 10 seconds
- One record per brand: your name, what you do, where you are, how to reach you — written so a machine can read it.
- To confirm holds the facts EOMA guessed rather than found. Your answer always replaces ours.
- Your correction is live on the public record from the next request. There is no publish step to press afterwards.
Before you start
- Your brand must be matched to a record. EOMA matches by the web address on your brand — no address, no match. See Brand profile.
- The record must have been collected. EOMA builds it by reading your website. Until that has run, the page says no record was found for this brand.
- Nothing else. There is no plan restriction on this screen and correcting your record costs nothing.
Steps
1 — Open Brand Index
Sidebar → Brand Index. It is its own entry; there is no menu in between.
If the page says no record was found for this brand, the steps below will not work yet — see "Before you start".
2 — Work through "To confirm"
The button at the top right, Review 4 flags, scrolls you straight to the queue. Each entry is one field EOMA was not confident about, with a short reason and two choices:
┌─ Brand name ────────────────────────────┐
│ We guessed this from your site text. │
│ [ Confirm ] [ Edit ] │
└─────────────────────────────────────────┘
Confirm accepts EOMA's value as correct. Edit replaces it with yours. Either way the entry leaves the queue and the field becomes part of the record.
3 — Mark the record ready for review
When the queue is empty, the top-right button becomes Mark ready for review. Press it when you are satisfied with the whole record. It tells the EOMA team the record is finished from your side; it is not what makes your edits take effect — those are already in force.
What you'll see
The name, and "This is the canonical record AI engines cite when they answer questions about your brand."
Your brand name in large type, your domain, and Updated with the date the record last changed — including by your own edits.
The status pill — Seed · Draft · Ready for review · Published
Top right, beside the button. Seed is a record EOMA collected and nobody has touched. Draft means you have edited or confirmed at least one field. Ready for review means you pressed the button. Published is set by the EOMA team, not by this screen.
The three-panel scoreboard — "Confirmed", "To confirm", "Completeness"
A single strip under the header. Read it left to right: what is settled, what still wants you, and how much of the record exists at all.
"To confirm"
The queue, with a coloured spine per reason: Inferred, Low confidence, Title junk, Objectivity, Missing. Each row states the question in EOMA's own words, then why it is being asked, then Confirm and Edit. When it is empty it says so plainly: "Nothing to confirm — every field is sourced or confirmed."
"Record"
Everything already settled, one row per field: the field name on the left with a small source code under it, the value on the right. Fields you edited are marked Edited by you.
"Guide" and "Reach" (right column)
Guide repeats your progress as a bar and states the three rules of this screen: AI engines cite this record, your edits always win over EOMA's, every fact shows its source. Reach collects the contact details and profile links in the record — your website, support email, phone, languages, and the other places your brand appears.
Reading the numbers
Confirmed — for example 12. Twelve fields in the record are either sourced from something EOMA trusts or confirmed by you. These are the facts an AI engine would repeat about your business today.
To confirm — for example 4. Four fields are waiting on a human answer. Each one is a fact EOMA is not confident enough to stand behind, so it is showing you its guess rather than publishing it quietly. Four is a ten-minute job, and it is the highest-value ten minutes on this screen.
Completeness — for example 75%. The share of the record that is settled rather than outstanding — the confirmed count as a proportion of confirmed plus outstanding. It is not a quality score and not a comparison against other brands: it reaches 100% the moment your queue is empty, whether the record is rich or thin. A thin record at 100% and a detailed one at 100% look identical here, so use the Record panel, not this number, to judge whether the facts are good enough.
"9 of 13" in the Guide, and "Confirm 4 more to be ready for review." The same arithmetic said as a next step. When it flips to "All fields confirmed", the Mark-ready button is the only thing left to press.
The small code under a field name — og, dom, jsonld, wikidata, llm.
Where the value came from, in EOMA's own shorthand: tags in your page's source,
the visible text of the page, Wikidata, or a model reading your site. It is
engineering shorthand that has not been translated yet, and it is listed here in
descending order of how much EOMA trusts it. A field you changed shows Edited
by you instead, which outranks all of them.
When it goes wrong
| You see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "Your brand isn't indexed yet" | Your brand has not been matched to a record. The match is made from the web address saved on your brand. | Check the address in Settings → Brand profile. The link is then made automatically — there is no button. |
| "No record found for this brand yet" | Your brand is matched, but the collection that builds the record has not produced one. | Wait. It appears here as soon as the collection runs; nothing on your side is missing. |
| A field you corrected still looks wrong on your public record | Your edit is applied on the next request, but a page you already have open, or a cache in front of it, may still hold the old copy. | Reload the public page. If it is still wrong after a reload, contact support with the field name. |
| A question in the queue is written in English on a Turkish workspace | The questions are written when the record is collected and are stored in English. This is a known gap, not a fault in your record. | Answer in whatever language your customers use. Your answer is stored exactly as you type it. |
| "Mark ready for review" is greyed out | You already pressed it — the record is at Ready for review or Published. | Nothing to do. It stays that way; you do not need to press it again. |
| The Record panel says nothing beyond the essentials yet | EOMA found only a few facts it trusts on your site. | Answer everything in To confirm — confirmed fields move into the Record. Adding clear facts to your own website is what grows it further. |
