Rank tracking
The keywords your plan measures on Google every week, where each one sits today, and which ones have never been found at all.
In 10 seconds
- This screen is the set your plan measures weekly — the smallest and most expensive of the three keyword counts in EOMA.
- Week-over-week movement is not shown yet. The Movement column reads "— new" on every row until the weekly schedule has run more than once for your brand.
- A keyword missed on three or more checks is labelled, because it holds a paid slot either way.
Before you start
- Your keyword list must exist and the Google scan (weekly on Growth and Scale, monthly on Starter and the free plan) must have run at least once. Both are set up for you — see Portfolio.
- Nothing else. Every plan opens this screen. Your plan decides how many keywords are in the set: 10 on the free plan, 25 on Starter, 50 on Growth, 100 on Scale. See Plan and usage.

2 — Read the distribution bar before the table
The bar answers "how am I doing" in one glance. The table answers "on what", which is a slower question.
3 — Set aside the keywords that are not your market
The last column carries the same Pin and Remove controls as the Portfolio screen. A keyword that has never been found is still using one of your weekly slots — leave it if you are deliberately aiming for it, remove it if it was never your market.
What you'll see
"Rank tracking" and the big "On page 1" figure
The title strip, then a count written as page-1 keywords / monitored keywords, with a sentence naming both, the top-3 count, and the date of the last check.
The five-column rail — "Monitored", "Ranking", "Top 3", "Page 1", "Avg position"
Under the headline, describing the monitored set only.
The movement notice
A bordered line explaining that week-over-week arrows appear once the weekly schedule has run more than once, and that what you are seeing now is a single snapshot with the date it was captured.
"Where your monitored keywords sit today"
A stacked bar in one panel: Top 3, Page 1 (4–10), Page 2 (11–20), Past 20, Not ranking, each with its count beside it.
"Monitored keywords"
The table: Keyword, Google, Intent, Position, Movement, Yours. Ranked keywords are listed first, best position at the top; the ones that do not rank follow, ordered by search volume.
The note under the table
Present only when keywords have gone unfound for three or more checks. It counts them across the whole set, not only the rows on screen.
Reading the numbers
"On page 1" — for example 18/50. Eighteen of the fifty keywords your plan measures are in Google's top ten. The other 32 are being checked every week and are not there yet.
"Monitored — weekly SERP set" — for example 50. The keywords a full Google results page is fetched for each week. This is the number your plan is priced on. It is not the same as Measured on Share of voice (every keyword we hold any rank for, often several hundred) or Keywords on Portfolio (the whole pool, often a few thousand). Three counts, three meanings, and only this one is the weekly budget.
"Ranking — of 50" — for example 37. You appear in the top 20 on 37 of the 50.
"Avg position — where ranked" — for example #8.4. Averaged over the 37 that rank, not over all 50. Keywords with no position are left out rather than counted as a bad rank, so this number gets worse when a weak keyword starts ranking. Read it beside Ranking, never alone.
The distribution buckets. Top 3 is won. Page 1 (4–10) earns already. Page 2 (11–20) is the winnable band — a better page moves these. Past 20 is shown in the error colour on purpose: a position at #110 is not a weaker page 2, it is a different project. Not ranking means the keyword was checked and your domain did not appear at all.
"Last checked 9 Aug 2026" in the headline. The most recent measurement across the whole set, not today's date. The set refreshes weekly, so a date more than about ten days old means a run has been missed.
The Movement column, reading "— new" on every row. Movement is not computed on this screen yet. It is not that every keyword is new — it is that the comparison is not built. The notice above the table says the same thing. For the movement that is computed, see the Since the last scan card on SEO summary.
"not found in 6 checks" under a keyword. That keyword has sat through six weekly full-page checks and your domain has appeared on none of them. It is a statement of fact, not a verdict: the keyword still holds one of your weekly slots every week, and only you know whether it is worth aiming for. The scoring that chose it does not remember these misses, so it will keep being chosen until you set it aside.
A dash in the Position column. The keyword did not appear in Google's top 20 on the last check, or that check has not covered it yet.
When it goes wrong
| You see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "No keywords are in your brand's monitored set yet. We select them from your portfolio, then start tracking their positions." | Either the keyword list has not been built for your brand yet — a step run by hand at EOMA, not triggered by signing up — or it exists and the weekly selection has not run. | Check Portfolio. If it is empty too, ask support to start the keyword build. |
| "Could not load rank tracking." | The read failed. | Refresh; if it repeats, contact support. |
| The Movement column never fills in | It is not implemented on this screen yet, whatever the notice above the table suggests about waiting. | Use the Since the last scan card on SEO summary for real movement. |
| "Last checked" is more than about ten days old | The weekly run has been missed for your brand. | Contact support with the date shown. |
| Several keywords say "not found in N checks" | The keyword scoring picks by demand and winnability and does not learn from misses, so an unreachable keyword keeps its slot. | Press Remove on the ones that are not your market. That frees a weekly slot for something else. |
| A keyword you pinned on Portfolio is not here yet | Pins take effect immediately, but the weekly selection has not run for your brand. | It appears after the next pass. There is no fixed weekday — each brand runs on its own cycle. |
