Notifications
What EOMA sends you today, and why there is nothing to configure here yet.
In 10 seconds
- There are no notification settings yet. The page says so, and it is honest.
- EOMA already notifies you about four things, and all four are about actions.
- The one thing you can switch off — marketing email and SMS — lives on the Privacy page, not this one.
Before you start
- Nothing. This page works from your first day and needs no setup.
Steps
1 — Open Settings, then Notifications

2 — Read the one line, and leave
"Notification settings coming soon." Nothing on this screen turns notifications on or off. If you came here to stop an email, the section you want is Privacy for marketing messages — action emails cannot currently be switched off.
What you'll see
"Notifications" and "Notification settings coming soon."
A heading and a single line of muted text. That is the whole notifications part of the page today.
What EOMA sends you, even though you cannot configure it here
Four moments in the life of an action, sent both as an in-app notification on the bell and as an email to your account address:
- a draft is ready for you to look at
- EOMA needs a detail from you before it can continue
- EOMA has finished the work
- EOMA could not finish and has stopped
A fifth email is sent when EOMA opens a pull request on your website's repository.
Reading the numbers
There are no metrics on this screen. Two numbers govern what lands in your inbox, and both are worth knowing before you decide whether something is broken.
Four states, not four emails per action. An action sends you a message when it crosses one of the four moments above, once each. A single piece of work that goes draft-ready, then needs a detail, then finishes will mail you three times over several days. Ten open actions moving at once is what a busy week looks like — it is not a loop or a duplicate.
A fifteen-minute check. EOMA looks for actions that have crossed one of those moments every fifteen minutes and sends what it finds. So the gap between something becoming true in the product and the email arriving is up to a quarter of an hour, never longer under normal conditions. If the bell shows a draft is ready and no email has arrived after twenty minutes, that is worth reporting; five minutes is not.
Zero configurable settings. The count of things you can change on this screen. Everything above happens whether you want it or not, which is the reason this page carries a "coming soon" line rather than an empty list.
When it goes wrong
| You see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| You want to stop the action emails | There is no switch for them yet. | Contact support and say so — the volume of that request is what moves it up the list. |
| You want to stop campaign and announcement emails | Those are separate, and they do have a switch. | Open Privacy → Commercial Message Preferences and untick email or SMS. |
| The bell shows something the email never mentioned | The two surfaces cover the same four states, but an email can be caught by a spam filter. | Check spam, then add our sending address to your contacts. |
| Emails arrive at the wrong address | Action emails go to your account email. | Change it on Account — remember it only switches after you click the confirmation link. |
